Research Samples
My work is under NDA, so I have included project focus and activities to give a sense of the type of industries and projects I have tackled. I am happy to discuss any of my projects in more depth, but won’t share anything too specific in public.
Case studies are available upon request.
1
Consumer Restart
I helped re-start Anywhere Real Estates UX consumer research for the first time in a decade. This involved some guerilla recruitment, seeking out c-suite leadership to help provide agents for past clients, and utilizing social media.
I worked closely with designers, product management, and engineers to get feedback on prototypes and live websites. Some examples of research used:
-
Conducted concept and usability testing with usability metric measurement
-
Interviewed consumers for generative sentiment and engagement
-
Competitive analysis and Historical research capture
2
Information Architecture
I was tasked with defining how real estate agents view and organize their work. This project required me to dive into the side of ambiguity, cataloging every action and interaction an agent may take throughout the transaction lifecycle and outside of the transaction lifecycle.
I spoke with agents to understand their current workflow, which was subjective based on the agents workload, personality, and organizational structure. Some exampled of research used:
-
Hybrid card sort for organizing work into categories using Figma
-
Journey maps to help track not only the agent path but also workflow
-
Dendrogram clustering to for specific path clustering.
3
Unmoderated Usability Testing
Part of my work involved working with platforms that specialized in unmoderated testing. In these cases, I was able to use Usertesting.com to quickly get both qualitative and quantitative data. Some examples of research:
-
Gauging time-on-task to measure efficacy of design and usability
-
First click testing for understanding hierarchical placement of design elements
-
Long text and voice prompting for quotes, video sampling, and qualitative feedback.
4
Roadmapping and Planning
I take ownership of spaces I work in. This has included working closely with teams to align with their KPIs, OKRs, and product roadmap. I planned research across three different domains. The research roadmap would span roughly 1 to 2 years of initiatives based on the organizations plans. As most people know, :"the best laid plans of men often go awry", so being able to adapt and iterate the roadmap was key to keeping on aligned and focusing the research in the right places, at the right times.
